Meet the Artists
Jay McDougall - Wood Sculptor Ottertail County (Fergus Falls), MN
I carve using wood sourced locally from fallen or downed trees. I focus on feeling while creating my pieces; as a result my work typically connects with collectors at a visceral level, providing a sense of tranquility. I find inspiration in nature and it’s efficiency in design. Natural design is everything it needs to be and nothing more. WEBSITEInstagFacebook Live Sat 11:30 & 3:30, Sun: 12:30 & 4
Julie Keaten-Reed – Painting Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. I use ink & high-flow acrylics to paint abstracted landscapes, still-lifes & motion studies. I work on gessoed surfaces, either canvas or board, and my style is a synthesis of ancient Asian brush painting with modern Western expressionism. Darren Jones – Painting/Mixed Media Chicago, IL Artist Darren Jones creates unique botanical and abstract landscapes inspired by nature and the world that surrounds us. The use of an emotive color palette combined with acrylics, industrial staples, sand, recycled wood, and shredded paper fibers creates a profound message. Their interplay of light focuses on the dynamic shapes of the natural world. WEBSITEInstagram Facebook Live Sat 11 & 3, Sun 2 & 4:30
Jennifer Cavan - Oil Pastelist Santa Fe, NM
I make oil pastel drawings of the rural America. I wander the backroads in search of quirky structures and timeless landscapes. My "rose colored" glasses allow me to use vibrant, saturated colors, bold compositions and slightly altered perspective to present, rather than represent, these special places. David Mayhew – Photography Fort Collins, CO
"Skyscapes" - I combine meteorology & photography to capture unique fleeting moments in time. I hunt the globe for the perfect light in order to portray the wide array of emotions the sky has to offer with a strong focus on storm chasing in tornado alley. Inks infused into powder coated metal to create a vibrant finish with the feeling of depth. WEBSITEInstagramFacebook LiveSat 12 & 4, Sun 3
Anne London – Drawing/Painting New Orleans, LA
As a professional artist for over four decades, my journey has taken me across the planet sketching and painting in the native habitats of the wildlife I paint. By combining years of anatomical and behavioral study, I portray endangered species using charcoal, oils and old world techniques on canvas and paper. My work is exhibited in galleries and exhibitions around the world and I am proud of my accomplishments as an award winning wildlife conservationist ,as well as an artist. Laura Junge – Painting Chicago, IL
My inspirations are energy and movement and I strive to capture these on the canvas as I explore various subject matters. With the use of vigorously applied oils in various consistencies, I first attempt to create an environment that appears to be in motion. Then finishing with fine glazes and tighter painting movements, I add in the content of the story that the painting will tell. WEBSITE InstagramFacebook Live Sat 12:30, Sun 1:30
